The beautiful limestone building on Catawba Island that housed the Catawba Island Wine Company from 1870 to 1930, Mon Ami Champagne Co. from 1933-1972, Paramount Distilleries from 1976-1999 and Mon Ami Restaurant and Winery from 2000-2019, entered yet another phase of its life when it became the Gideon Owen Wine Company in 2020.
In 2022, it once again began winemaking on the property, activating its lower cellar and wine barn, releasing its first vintages in 2023. Come to taste their local vintages or sign up for a tour of the wine cellars to learn more about their process. Or stop in for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch to enjoy a menu with copious entrees, appetizers, salads, sandwiches and pizzas. Enjoy a burger or a filet mignon according to your taste in a beautiful setting. Open every day but Monday.
