After a one year hiatus, the S.O.S. (Super8 Oberlin Showcase) returns for its second edition!

The S.O.S. is a distinct film screening, in that none of the films will be viewed before they are screened on the evening of April 24th. The filmmakers are not allowed to edit or view their films prior to the screening. What they shoot in the camera is what will be shown on the original medium of Super 8. No Cuts. No Splices.

The S.O.S. is a presentation of the One Take Super 8 Event. Founded by Alex Rogalski in Regina, Saskatchewan in 2000, the OTS8 promotes small gauge film production and exhibition across Canada and the United States. Having spawned over 500 films to date, the event continues to grow each year.

Featuring PREMIERE FILMS by: Theo Anthony, David Burnham, Daniel Dudley, Lucy Engelman, Davey Field, Peter Freeman, Lily Gottschalk, Stephen Graves, Justin Harris, Harry Israelson, Jimmy Magliozzi, Ben Neufeld, Rowan Norlander-McCarty, Peter Nowogrodzki, Matt Presto and Sara Krugman, Ian Page, Max Rivlin-Nadler, Dash Robb, Jackworth Smith, Gil Spears, Asha Tamirisa, and Ian Wood

Sponsored by the Oberlin Film Co-op and the Oberlin Film Series, with support from the Oberlin College Cinema Studies Program and Exclusive Film & Video.
