It’s all about the youth on Fri 5/28 when Solon Center for the Arts presents its 2nd annual One Act Festival. Not only will the theater premiere works from their youth Playwriting Competition… the acting will be performed by kids in grades 5 – 8 from the SCA Spotlight Youth Theater.
So… you have talented youth performing the works of other talented youth!
A little more info:
This original SCA production taps into the insights, talents and creativity of today’s youth by bringing together student playwrights and performers from the Northeast Ohio area. First Place was awarded to Catherine Pace of Shaker Heights for “Ana.” Second Place was awarded to Brandon Lambert and John Michael Sudsina of Aurora for “An Intergalactic Vacation.” Third Place was awarded to Marisa Apple of Solon for “Perfectly Wrong.” These works will be performed in their entirety. Kiera Finelli of Solon was awarded Honorable Mention for “R.I.P. Bluby” and the audience will be introduced to excerpts from this work.
