Lakewood is now home to two farmers markets: The North Union Farmer’s Market, which has been a mainstay in the city for 12 years, operates on Wednesdays from 10AM – 1PM. And now there’s the Lakewood Farmers Market, which is especially appealing for 9-5ers since it runs every Saturday from 10AM – 1PM.
The LFM takes the concept of local food seriously with a focus on selling produce grown by people in Lakewood. The market was even created by a group of dedicated Lakewoodites. Their mission statement is: “To provide a local food venue for growers and cottage industries in Lakewood and encourage entrepreneurship while unifying the community through sustainable endeavors.”
Visit the market every Sat @ Sinagra Park – Detroit and Cook Aves (in front of the Marc’s plaza) – Lkwd.
