Sat 7/17 @ 2 – 9PM
The Rascal House is turning 30! That iconic pizza joint near Cleveland State Univ was always more than your average pizza joint. It was a place for parties, concerts and all kinds of events. Do you remember the joint back in the 80s and 90s? Think hard. Founder Mike Frangos wants to take you back to Rascal House’s glory days at a reunion bash on Sat 7/17.
Read on and prepare to go way back…
On July 17, the Rascal House parking lot will be turned into a stage and play area. Locally famous bands from the era, Buff and the Hooters and Pieces of 8, will perform for those wishing to take a walk down memory lane. There will be corn-hole tournaments, raffles, a photo slide show, home movies—and, of course, pizza for all.
Asked what the inspiration for this is, Frangos said, “We’ve been here for over 30 years, and my wife and I often see hands waving from across the dining room belonging to faces of men and women who were kids that either worked here or went to Cleveland State University, and now they want to introduce their children to us. I’ve even had couples come up to say they stop in often, they’re married now, but this is where they met and shared some wonderful memories. I was a secret match maker!”
