Youngstown is transforming itself from grey to green. Just look at the green initiatives in the Youngstown 2010 Plan, and the Wick Park Revitalization effort to turn the park into a “green world” made of environmentally-oriented businesses, community organizations, and local & regional agencies.
And now, for the 2nd year, there’s the Grey to Green Festival. The fest aims to increase community awareness of environmental issues in general and of green initiatives taking place in Y-town. Mobilize with other people to move the city into the future. Event features speakers, vendors, kids activities and plenty of good citizens.
