According to the Sierra Club, the Great Lakes contain 20% of all fresh water in the world. In attempt to preserve this increasingly scarce resource, US and Canadian officials created The Great Lakes Compact and its own Advisory Board. The Board has created a draft of final recommendations to be presented to the Governor and General Assembly on Wed 12/15. But what are they recommending? And are these recommendations strong enough to preserve our water supply? (The Sierra Club says no.)
