Lou & Peter Berryman: An Evening of Song, Satire & Social Significance

Fri 11/12 @ 8PM

Lou & Peter Berryman [pictured] sing songs we all can relate to. Forget love songs and all that mushy stuff — they sing songs with true universal appeal — songs about cleaning out the fridge and painting the living room (which actually is about impending environmental disaster). Join them on Fri 11/12 for An Evening of Song, Satire & Social Significance. The concert will be dedicated to Anne Feeney, a singer/songwriter and fighter for working people. Some of the event’s proceed will help her meet out-of-pocket expenses for cancer treatment.

More details:

Take the elegant wit of Cole Porter, the topical satire of Tom Lehrer and the absurdity of Flanders and Swann, blend with down-home Wisconsin cheese, wacky harmonies, accordion and 12-string guitar, and — voila!  The wickedly funny, uniquely entertaining team of Lou & Peter Berryman.  From cleaning the fridge (“When Did We Have Sauerkraut”) to impending environmental catastrophe (“Why Am I Painting the Livingroom?”) to the eternal folly of youth (“A Chat with Your Mother” aka “The F-Word”), no subject escapes their keen and quirky observation.

Cleveland’s own Deborah Van Kleef  joins Lou & Peter for an evening of song, satire, and social significance.
