Opening Fri 1/21 @ 6 – 9PM
Exhibition continues through Sat 2/26
Art & poetry is the perfect combination… sort of like peas & carrots. The Lit and Zygote Press are teaming up to present Intersections, an exhibit exploring the associated power of art & poetry. Join the opening reception on Fri 1/21 @ 6PM.
The scoop:
For the third time, The Lit and Zygote Press collaborate in a project entitled Intersections. The associative power of word and image — whether text creates a pictorial impression or imagery reveals a narrative — is celebrated through the shared languages of form, description and mood.
An Associations Team (A-TEAM), a group of writing and art aficionados — Susan DeGaetano (Mac’s Backs) Ed Vermue (Oberlin Library Special Collections) Paula Mindes (Print Club, Zygote Board) and Matt Charboneau (COSE ARTS NETWORK) — will become matchmakers as they find parallels and connections between the poems and prints in a recorded conversation. A copy of each poem, the work of art and the A-TEAM’s commentary will be exhibited together.
