“One is not born, but rather becomes a woman,” declared French author Simone de Beauvoir in her 1949 work, The Second Sex. This book, based on the metamorphoses of women, is just as relevant today. On that note, Convivium 33 is hosting a new exhibit: “21st Century Expressions of the Second Sex.” View works by NEO’s leading and most respected female artists as they explore womanhood.
Opening reception on Fri 4/1 features a sneak preview of scenes from Insomnia: The Waking of Herselves by Cleveland Public Theatre.
