Climb the highest peaks and paddle the wildest waters without getting out of your seat. The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is back and ready to transport you to adventurous locales. The film fest features a selection of the most captivating tales of exploration and adventures.
This year’s films include Crossing the Ditch, the story of two young Australians who successfully kayak the Tasman Sea, one of the world’s most treacherous oceans; death-defying fishermen who risk life and limb in decommissioned Cold War helicopters to explore remote rivers in Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula in Eastern Rises; and The Swiss Machine, which documents Ueli Steck’s record-breaking ascents in the Alps, accompanied him racing up 2,500-metre alpine faces.
