According to GreenCityBlueLake, current legislation is underway to transform city streets to both Complete and Green Streets standards. A Complete Streets policy would ensure all users have fair access to the street, including bicyclists, public transportation vehicles and riders, and pedestrians of all ages and abilities. It’s not just about cars anymore.
Green Streets are streets that use vegetated facilities to manage stormwater runoff at its source. Both policies would be a step in the right the direction.
