Keir Dullea, the Cle-born actor best known for playing astronaut David Bowman in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, is coming to the CIA Cinematheque on Sat 7/16/11. (It is, after all, Keir Dullea Weekend @ the Cinematheque.) He’ll answer Qs after the 8:15PM screening of that 1968 sci-fi classic. Other films to be shown during his week: DAVID AND LISA, BLACK CHRISTMAS, and BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING.

One Response to “Keir Dullea Weekend @ Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque”

I was surprised to see such a write up in the Norwalk paper about the showing you will be doing here next weekend. To us that live here this is no biggie. Up to about 5 years ago when the theatre was sold. Every weekend for decades we had shows shown there using the old carbon projectors. And there were never any problems. In fact from the age of 16 to 22 my son ran and kept those projectors going. The only problem being if you needed to replace the carbons going to Fremont to get them. We all are use to these. It is just too bad that the new people who bought the theatre let it sit idle so much. And are letting the inside and outside deteriate so badly. It is especially bad, when it sits on the main street of our town
