Join this FREE Community Workshop
We’re looking for a few cool souls to come together to improve the Akron community. This half-day interactive workshop will explore how we connect as a community, how we improve openness, and how we strengthen the bonds that make Akron a great city. This FREE community workshop will take place Tue 8/23 from 1-5PM at the University of Akron Student Union, 303 Carroll Street, Akron, OH 44325.
Join Peter Kageyama, author of “For The Love of Cities,” who will be joined by Dr. Katherine Loflin, Lead Consultant for Knight Foundation’s Soul of the Community, and introduced by Paula Ellis, VP Strategic Initiatives at the Knight Foundation.
This workshop will identify key community assets,, resources and emotionally engaged citizens who shape Akron, and strive to develop tactics to engage locally based solutions that can be put into action quickly, without a lot of time or money necessary.
Your idea could win a $500 grant, which will be awarded to the best idea of the day!

Peter Kageyama was born and raised in Akron, and is a community and economic development consultant based in St. Petersburg, FL, and is co-founder and producer of the Creative Cities Summit.
