Cool Cleveland Endorsement: NO on Issue 3 Another Constitutional Amendment, Issue 3 would call for Ohio residents to be exempt from certain national health care mandates. Issue 3 is a patently offensive, cynical and disingenuous attempt to roll back health care reform by appealing to the anti-government sentiment still lingering amongst those who want to fool themselves into thinking that society at large doesn’t pay for the uninsured. Or those who are unconcerned about the millions of families denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions. Or those who want to pretend they don’t know families who need to include their children on their employer’s health plan until the kids are age 26. Or, since passage of Ohio Issue 3 wouldn’t trump Federal law, those who feel political grandstanding is preferable to the hard work of making difficult change in our troubled and unequal health care system. Let’s get real and work together to make actual improvements to our health care system. Vote NO on Issue 3. More info on Issue 3 at Ballotpedia.
