Internationally acclaimed writer and scholar of religions Dr. Reza Aslan will deliver the Abrahamic Center Distinguished Lecture on Islamophobia in America. The author of No god but God: The Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam will provide compelling answers to these questions: What has happened in the last 10 years to move anti-Muslim rhetoric from the fringes into the mainstream? Why do more Americans view Muslims negatively today than during the immediate aftermath of September 11? What does the tide of Islamophobia say about America 10 years after that tragic day? And how do our words affect America’s security at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East?
