Help a local family! METAMORPHOSIS @ Arts Collinwood features a silent auction of dozens of local artists’ work, a raffle and more in support of local artist John L. Nagy and his family.
The call for help: “John was recently severely injured on the job. He fell off his 15 foot ladder landing hard on his ankles, requiring surgery on both. John works for himself doing painting and home repair and is the primary income earner for his wife Shelly and young son Ivan. The family had just moved back to Cleveland after a brief stint in Oregon this summer after John graduated from Cleveland State in the spring. He does not have insurance and will be unable to walk for months. All income from METAMORPHOSIS will go to cover medical bills and family expenses.”
The Nagy’s are involved in everything from arts and poetry to community activism — they’re good people. Go to Arts Collinwood, view John’s artwork on the walls, bid on art to liven up your home, and grab a meal and drink or two (a portion of your bill will also be donated to the family).
