Opening Fri 3/2 @ 6PM
Two prolific exhibitions are in store for the Akron Art Museum. Opening on Fri 3/2 is Stranger in Paradise: The Works of Reverend Howard Finster — art from one of America’s most widely known and prolific artists. We’re talking about a man who created 46,000 pieces of art before his death in ’01. Also opening is Ray Turner: Population, a “unique exhibition of nearly 200 portraits of a wide cross- section of people from across the country, including University Park and downtown Akron residents, executed with oil paint on glass.”
Definitely worth a look, don’t you think? Stranger in Paradise is open ’til Sun 6/3 and Population runs ’til Sun 5/27.
