Lori Kella: Unnatural Narratives @ Dragonfly

Opening Sun 3/18 @ 4 – 7PM

On view through Sat 5/5

“My photographs depict both grand landscapes and detailed narratives. The works often intersect, as they are both metaphors for uncertainty. The increasingly unreal elements of the photographs create a necessary tension, as the images oscillate between an enticing reality and an obvious incongruence.” –Lori Kella

Dragonfly Lounge and the Maria Neil Art Project (an art venture founded by John Farina & Adam Tully) bring you Unnatural Narratives — the photography of Cle artist Lori Kella.

About the show: “The photographs in Unnatural Narratives speak to the delicate balance in nature and the futile unfulfilled tension often depicted in museum displays. The work also acknowledges a collective anxiety about the future of such abundant landscapes and becomes a metaphor for contemporary fears.”
