Sat 7/14 @ 8pm
Sistah Sinema is black.womyn. queer.cinema. It’s about representation, empowerment, and impact.
Specifically at Sistah Sinema, “we want Black Queer womyn to see diverse and accurate images of themselves… we want Black womyn to have the information they need to take steps to achieve their dreams… [and] we want back womyn to see the positive results of their actions on the community and the world.”
Sounds good, right? On Sat 7/14 they’ll be screening Audre Lorde – The Berlin Years 1984 to 1992, followed by spoken word poetry.
This event is for everyone — “queer people and allies of all races and genders are welcomed to this event.”
