Sun 9/2 @ 7pm
In 1987, a trio known as De La Soul formed from Long Island, NY roots and changed the landscape of hip-hop as we knew it… They took rap and made it fun with their “whimsically irreverent” lyrics and laid back beats, mixed with a dose of positive attitude.
And, on Sun 9/2, you can see them in Akron as part of the Akron Hip Hop Showcase. Also performing: Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, Special Ed, Jeru The Damaja, Mick Boogie, and an Online Talent Search Winner. Show some love for hip hop.
