Besides being a true statement, Because Everyone Deserves a Place to Call Home is the name of the Cleveland Tenants Organization’s (CTO) annual event, held at the Hilary Aurand Galleries at 78th Street Studios.
Enjoy an evening of live bluegrass courtesy of Honeybucket, drink a drink or two, munch of food, and possibly win big in a raffle.
All proceeds benefit CTO, a nonprofit working to “preserve and expand the supply of safe, decent, fair, affordable and accessible rental housing.” CTO offers a hotline to answer questions about landlord/tenant rights, helps families facing eviction, and helps tenants in subsidized properties advocate for better living conditions. All in all, a pretty vital organization in NEO!
