Over 30 local food vendors attracted an average of 800 shoppers each week to the outdoor Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market this past season. Over half those vendors will continue to sell at the indoors market.
Not only does shopping at KCFM or other markets support local farmers, its also boosts the surrounding neighborhood. According to a recent study by Market Umbrella, approximately 44% of Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market shoppers spend money at nearby businesses when they visit the neighborhood, resulting in $778,270 in projected gross receipts at those businesses alone.
