Cuyahoga Arts & Culture announced nearly $29 million in grants to 175 arts and culture organizations in Cuyahoga County on 11/19/12 at MOCA Cleveland, and Cool Cleveland was there to record some reactions.
Chris Coburn, a CAC board member, is director of Cleveland Clinic Innovations, which develops and commercializes technologies and therapies invented at the Cleveland Clinic.
Coburn talks with Cool Cleveland about the impact of the arts and culture sector on the wider community, and how critical a strong arts & culture community is, even for Cleveland’s thriving health care sector. View the video interview here.
“Cleveland in many ways leads the country, we’d like to think in health care, but also in this model… When we try to recruit someone to Cleveland, we’re talking about the fabric of cultural leadership that has existed here.”
