Seth Chwast, diagnosed with autism as a young child, rarely speaks verbally but communicates eloquently through his vibrantly colored paintings, which you can view in his upcoming exhibition Celebrating Difference: Exceptional People, Exceptional Art @ Tri-C Gallery East.
A keynote presentation, An Exceptional Life: Autism, Creativity and Love by Chwast and his mother, Debra, will take place during the reception at 7:30 p.m.
“Seth is an example of how powerful the magic of art therapy can be for people,” said Mary Sender, art therapy coordinator at Tri-C. “To have him come to Tri-C to share his story with us is an invaluable experience that should not be missed by anyone.”
