Erie Folk Rockers Falling Hollywood at Five O’Clock Lounge

Sat 3/2 @ 9PM

You’d think from the name that Erie, Pennsylvania’s Falling Hollywood is trying to evoke the sleaze/glam metal of Sunset Strip in the ’80s, an era that many current bands seem to feel an unaccountable nostalgia for. Yet not one member of this band has long, dyed blonde hair.

And they cite influences like the White Stripes and the Avett Brothers, not Poison and Motley Crue.  Their music is rife with acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies. One look at that photo should tell you they don’t play “Talk Dirty to Me.” They’ll play a free show with the wonderfully named Elyria band Daylight Is the Dream at the Five O’Clock Lounge tonight.
