Asian New Year’s Eve is not typically celebrated with hip hop dances. But that isn’t stopping B-Side Liquor Lounge impresario Brad Petty and his partner in crime Bac Nguyen, proprietor of Bac in Tremont. “We’re turning Bac Asian Bistro & Bar into a jiggy dance club,” they promise. The quarterly event will feature lights, Asian-style decorations, a complimentary midnight toast, a nonstop supply of free fortune cookies, and both old-school and contemporary hip hop, spun by Petty’s DJ alter ego, MisterBradleyP. Wear something red; they say it brings good luck in the new year. It’s 21 and over; there’s no cover. Festivities go on until 2:30 AM.
