Goodmorning Valentine has been kicking around the Cleveland music scene for just about four years playing their straightforward rootsy rock that’s become a little more clear-cut over time.
The undertone of loneliness in singer Joey Beltram’s vocals perfectly suits the band’s take on Americana and gives it a poignant edge. They’ve been around long enough to produce three albums with the latest, Hey Washington, just arriving after a lengthy gestation period. They’ll celebrate with a show at the Beachland Tavern, with Shivering Timbers and Brian Straw opening. Cover is $5.
