The world-renowned, much-traveled and oft-recorded Leipzig String Quartet touches down this weekend at one of northeast Ohio’s classical music hotbeds: Oberlin College, where it will perform at Finney Chapel. The ensemble will focus on a single crowd-pleasing composer — Beethoven. It will perform three of his quartets: the Quartet in B-flat Major aka “La Malinconia,” the Quartet in F Minor aka “Serioso” and the Quarter in E-flat Major, which apparently has no nickname.
