VIDEO: Katherine Boyd Launches The Cleveland Connection

Emmy Award winning journalist and broadcaster Katherine Boyd, co-host of Q104’s morning radio show “Fee’s Company” is launching a new radio show, “Cleveland Connection”, which will be broadcast on Sunday mornings on FM stations Q104, 98.5 and 92.3 at 6AM and 102 at 7AM. Watch the video here.

Boyd will be our tour guide for all things cool and cutting edge in Cleveland.  Guests so far have included comedian Mike Polk, Jr., “Cash Mob” co-founder Andrew Samtoy, and Jennifer Coleman, founder of CityProwl.com.  Future shows will feature Jacob VanSickle, executive director of Bike Cleveland, and local jazz musicians who are spicing up this year’s Tri-C JazzFest.

Boyd intends to make this hour-long Cleveland focused program a showcase for local musicians of all genres who get little airplay elsewhere.

“I’m going to be talking to local musicians and playing their music every week,” says Boyd.  “I feel it is hugely important to give them an outlet. The “Cleveland Connection” theme song, “Bee Eater”, was written and performed by two local musicians, Eric Mzik and Michael DiLiberto. Cleveland has always been an incubator of great musical talent, and I am thrilled to have this platform to support and celebrate our local musicians.”
