When you see the call letters WJCU attached to a metal show, you know it’s going to be top-drawer. Organized by Bill Peters, longtime host of the John Carroll University radio station’s Friday evening “Metal on Metal” show, tonight’s event at Peabody’s features seven of the area’s best heavy bands: Soulless, Solipsist, Ground Zero, Embalmer, Wretch, Vindicator, and Alternate Reality. Where do these bands get airplay? On WJCU 88.7 FM, of course. The all-ages show is free. All donations collected will go to the station, which is only about half funded by the university.
