Thu 4/4 @ 8PM
A favorite son comes home when David Mayfield comes to the Kent Stage to celebrate the release of his CD Good Man Down, under the name the David Mayfield Parade.
Mayfield grew up in Kent, playing mandolin and guitar in his family’s bluegrass band. Later he played bass for his sister Jessica Lea Mayfield after she landed a record deal and began touring.
She’s returned the favor, appearing in his album, along with Seth Avett of the Avett Brothers, Dierks Bently and other guest stars, testifying to the relationships and respect Mayfield has accumulated over the years.
Hey Mavis and the Blue Ribbon Bluegrass Band open. Tickets are $11.
