Last month, young jazz pianist Matthew Skitzki had one of the more unusual CD release events we’ve seen around here. It took place aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad on a roundtrip from the Rockside Road Station to the Brecksville Station and back.
Guests got snacks, a cash bar, a copy of the CD and a live performance. It was sold out. If you didn’t snag a ticket, you can hear Skitzki play in the more conventional environment of Nighttown, along with guitarist Dan Wilson and sax player Brian Connell. He’s billing this one as a CD release event too. Tickets are $10.
