Sure, burlesque is about glamour and sex. But it’s also about humor and fun — making you laugh even while you’re gasping in admiration at the ladies’ assets.
That’s the side of burlesque that will be spotlighted at the Nerdy Burlesque Revue at the Beachland Ballroom tonight. The ladies of Northeast Ohio’s longest running burlesque troupe Le Femme Mystique will celebrate the group’s ninth anniversary by offering routines designed to appeal to “nerds, freaks, geeks, cosplayers, whovians, trekkies, fanboys, rockers, comic book fans.” They also promise music, giveaways, vendors and — cake! Performers include Bella Sin, Fantasie D’Light, Doll Bambino, Eliza Sidecar, Carmen M’knoxide, and Naomi Ray. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
