Ten Northeast Ohio bands played alternating sets in the Beachland Tavern and Ballroom Sat 3/9 to celebrate the release of Cellar Door Volume IV, the latest compilation from Justin Markert and Rick Fike’s Cellar Door Records.
All the bands that played — Attack Cat, Bethesda, the Commonwealth, Goodmorning Valentine, Herzog, Humble Home, Joshua Jesty, The Modern Electric, Nights, and Sunspots — appear on the album, as do the four bands that played a mini “teaser” showcase in the Tavern the previous night — Filmstrip, Ohio Sky, Ragers, and So Long Albatross.
The label gave a free CD to each of the nearly 400 people who came through the door.
