Workshop for Urban Farmers

Thu 4/4 @ 12:30pm

Calling all urban farmers. The Cuyahoga County Farm Bureau and Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District is putting on a free workshop for y’all — 4R’s Nutrient Management: The Land to Water Connection. Learn how to manage those nutrients.

The scoop: Ohio farmers are being confronted with significant challenges related to the increase in harmful algal blooms in local lakes and Lake Erie.  Government agencies, special interest groups, the media and the public are working with responsible parties to help clean up the state’s water resources.  This workshop is intended to raise awareness of good nutrient management, the need for a nutrient management plan and the principles of “4R Nutrient Stewardship”.  Plan to attend this program to learn about the “4Rs” and how to be proactive.

Please contact Anita Cook at 440-877-0706 or cuyahoga@ofbf.org for reservations and information. Held @ Copley Community Center.
