Love film? Don’t miss this event @ the CIA Cinematheque. View two great films with a discussion by J. M. Tyree.
The scoop: J. M. (Josh) Tyree is a film scholar, college professor, and former Cleveland resident (and one-time Cinematheque volunteer) who writes regularly for Film Quarterly and Sight & Sound. He has penned two of the books in the BFI (British Film Institute) Film Classics series—one on the Maysles brothers’ 1968 documentary Salesman and one on the Coen brothers’ 1998 cult film The Big Lebowski. Tonight Tyree will introduce screenings of both movies and answer questions and sell and sign books afterwards.
