Davina Sowers of Minneapolis-based quintet Davina & the Vagabonds looks like she stepped out of a time capsule newly arrived from the 1940s. The music she and her band play isn’t quite that retro. Their blues/jazz/swing concoction shows plenty of contemporary flair, or as they put it “a fresh spin on an old sound.”
They also boast “Davina and The Vagabonds are known in The Twin Cities, Minnesota as being the busiest band in town because of their hard-working professionalism, high energy stage performance, and original sound,” and claim to play 300 shows a year.
Your admission money is seldom wasted on a band like that, and admission to their Winchester show is only $15.
