Cheaper Than an Indians Ticket: Support Local Musician/Softball Teams

Sat 4/20 @ 9PM

Don’t ridicule the hit-or-miss athletic abilities of musicians who form softball leagues. At least they aren’t pulling down multimillion-dollar salaries indirectly subsidized by taxpayers (via free stadiums) to play mediocre baseball that depresses a lot of people.

So mock the Indians, but come down to Now That’s Class and join the Party Plates (members of the Now That’s Class and Sam’s Beverage softball teams), Banging Fragiles (Pat’s in the Flats team), Exploding Lies (My Mind’s Eye record store team), and comedian Jeremy Hills (ABC Tavern team) who are performing to raise a little scratch for playoff trophies.

Instead of going to the taxpayers, they’re looking for willing supporters to pay $5 at the door and giving them an evening of fine music and comedy in return. No big-time agents here, but your favorite player might appreciate it if you bought him a drink.
