Those of you having withdrawal pains after the glut of Irish music around St. Patrick’s Day has gone away, take heart. The Teetotallers — a trio featuring three musicians well-known in the field of traditional Irish music — are coming to Nighttown.
The Teetotallers have only been together since 2010, but the members — fiddler Martin Hayes, multi-instrumentalist Kevin Crawford, and finger-picking guitar and mandolin player John Doyle — have all amassed lengthy lists of credits and awards on their own. Doyle was a founding member of Solas; Crawford has been a member of Moving Cloud and Lunasa; Martin played with his fiddler father in the Tilla Ceili Band, and has collaborated with people like newgrass fiddler Darol Anger and jazz guitarist Bill Frisell.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. This evening be something special for Irish music fans. Tickets are $25.
