Cleveland vocalist Evelyn Wright has been around the scene for three decades, performing jazz, pop and R&B. Like many singers, she’s performed in a variety of contexts, including wedding bands — gotta pay the bills.
But tonight at Nighttown, she’ll get to stretch out and test the limits of her talent when she fronts an all-star trio of local jazz musicians: drummer Roy King, pianist David Thomas, and acoustic bassist Peter Dominguez. Expect to hear soul and jazz classics performed with expertise and warmth.
