Think or Swim: The Inner Lives of Fishes

Mon 4/15 @ 7pm

Fishes are routinely dismissed as primitive vertebrates and commonly denied even the capacity to think or feel anything. But new discoveries belie these prejudices. Drawing on compelling scientific studies and intriguing observations, animal behavior expert Jonathan Balcombe shows that fishes are not primitive at all, and that they in fact lead rich social and cognitive lives.

Find out just how fascinating fish are in the Cleveland Animal Rights Alliance’s final installment of their Ocean Life series, held inside CWRU’s Thwing Center. Meet up for an interesting lecture, with free vegan snacks on the side. Held in partnership w/ Case Animal Rights & Ethics Society.
