VIDEO: Spots of Light at Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage

We’ve heard many stories of the Holocaust, but none like these.

Using an innovative projection system that turns all the walls of the Maltz Museum’s gallery into floor-to-ceiling display screens, their new exhibition Spots of Light features the life stories of numerous women dealing with life and death, food and art, faith and friendship, motherhood and personhood, love and everyday life.

Listen to executive director Lynda Bender as she highlights a few of her favorite exhibits: a brassiere handmade from scavenged materials; a group of 10 women who banded together and survived the concentration camps; the obsession with food and recipes even though most of the prisoners were starving.
