Akron’s Maid Myriad is essentially a creative project of songwriter Jeffrey Klemm, whose ambitious, head-spinning brand of progressive/psychedelic pop owes a lot to bands like Primus, for whom Maid Myriad has opened.
The band’s already had a busy year, touring its collective little heart out, taking its “kaleidiscope rock,” as it refers to its music, around the eastern half of the country from Boston to Birmingham.
It’s about to retrace some of those steps and add some new markets in between now that its debut full-length debut album, With Haste On Its Breath, has finally been delivered.
Before it loads up the van and heads for the first stop in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the group will celebrate with its hometown fans at Musica. The Ladderbacks and Mantis open.
