Every third Sunday, former Cuyahoga Valley National Park artist-in-residence, violinist Ed Caner, currently with Americana band Hey Mavis, hosts his monthly house concert at the park. He’s joined by a different guest performer each month in a restored barn on the park’s Hines Hill campus.
For the final concert of the 2012-2013 season, Caner’s bringing in singer/songwriter Todd Burge.
The Parkersburg, West Virginia-based Burge has been making music for more than 20 years, touring heavily and becoming a favorite guest on NPR”s Mountain Stage. His most recent album, last year’s Building Character,was produced by Canton-based Don Dixon. Burge also hosts his own radio show/podcast called Songwriter Night With Todd Burge.
Doors open at 6:30 pm for the 7 pm concert. Admission is $8.
At 5:30 ranger Karen Kopchak will lead a tour of the Hines Hill grounds and facilities. Bringing a picnic supper to eat following the tour is encouraged.
