If you’ve got nothing else going on Monday night, what about catching a low-key show that features three women with offbeat musical perspectives?
Long Island’s Laura Stevenson writes songs that grapple with big-perspective life-and-death issues — but with a quirky, sublimated wryness. She’s got a brand new album Wheels. She and her band, the Cans, headline the show.
They’ll be joined by Brooklyn dream pop band Field Mouse, fronted by singer/guitarist Rachel Browne who co-writes the bands regretful, hopeful tunes with guitarist Andrew Futral.
Getting the evening started will be Cleveland duo Leah Lou & the 2 Left Shoes, who produce their playful music on guitar, bass and an assortment of other instruments and improvised sound-making devices.
Admission is $12.
