Thu 7/4 @ 8PM
If the Cleveland Orchestra’s annual July 4th concert on Public Square isn’t your thing, and you prefer a less urban, more bucolic setting, you can hear some of the same music when the Blossom Festival Band takes the stage at Blossom Music Center for two nights — Independence Day eve and the holiday itself.
The group’s conductor, Loras John Schissel, will lead the ensemble in A Salute to America. It features the sort of standard Americana pops pieces people want to hear around the 4th of July— concluding, of course, with the 1812 Overture and, weather permitting, fireworks.
Tickets are $20-$45. Under 18 free on the lawn — which is where the fireworks are best viewed anyway.
