Wed 6/12 @ 8PM
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Brent Kirby is one of the area’s biggest music talents. He plays with roots rockers the Jack Fords, his own band the Lost Fortunes, the bluegrass/country-influenced Hey Mavis, and Gram Parsons tribute band New Soft Shoe, and he does solo shows as well.
When he’s not doing all that, he likes to shine a spotlight other talented performers — something he’s been doing at the Brothers Lounge Wine Bar from 8-11pm on Wednesday nights for two years. At his 10 x 3 Songwriter/Band showcases, 10 pre-selected artists perform three songs each – at least two of them original.
For the second anniversary, he’s taking over both Brothers Wine Bar and Music Hall, with ten artists in each room. And he’s tapped another local musician, Jason Meyers, to be his co-host for the evening so they can cover both rooms.
