One-Man Orchestra Lipbone Redding at the Winchester

Wed 6/26 @ 8M

What sets singer/songwriter/guitarist Lawrence “Lipbone” Redding apart is his ability to imitate brass instruments and incorporate them into his performances. His nickname “Lipbone” is a conjunction of “lip” and trombone.”

His one-man show is a dexterous display of funky vocals, throat-singing, beat boxing, and percussive grooves, laced with humor. The unusual nature of his act has attracted attention from NPR, and he’s composed music for choreographer Bill T. Jones. And he’s built a following on the jam band scene.

He’ll be at the Winchester this week. Tickets are $12.
