Bad Racket Hosts New York Rockers at the Bottlehouse

Fri 7/26 @ 8PM

As Bad Racket Recording’s summer concert series continues, they’ve moved some of the shows from the busy studio to other venues.

New York’s Low Cut Connie, for instance, will instead be playing at Cleveland Heights’ Bottlehouse, not known as a showcase venue for touring bands.

But its easygoing atmosphere should be agreeable for checking out this band’s rabblerousing, bawdy, irreverent rock and roll which tips its hat to progenitors like Jerry Lee Lewis, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, the Cramps, and the Stooges.

The five-piece band is fronted by a couple of evil geniuses, Adam Weiner and Dan Finnemore.

A pair of Cleveland bands, punk/garage-influenced trio Shitbox Jimmy, and a new band called Shale Satans who describe themselves as “witchy garage surf lounge,” open.

The Bottlehouse’s menu of cocktails, beer, wine , and the largest selection of mead in Northeast Ohio should lubricate the evening nicely.

Tickets are $8.
